As part of Black History Month, students at Southampton Elementary School studied influential Black Americans. Over the past month, Southampton Elementary School students have been celebrating Black History Month with several inspiring classroom projects, many of which are currently adorning the halls of Southampton Village Hall.

Congratulations to Southampton High School Junior LeBron Napier who has been named as one of Newsday's top 100 Long Island basketball players for 2021. He earned the honor for averaging 15 points and nine rebounds last season and had a season-high 26 points against Greenport.
As part of our school reopening plan articulated prior to the start of school year, days formerly scheduled as February break were changed over to remote instruction days as we prepared to welcome back students safely into our buildings. Southampton Elementary School third graders wrote about their dreams for the world as part of a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr., students at Southampton Elementary School learned more about Dr. King and took part in discussions related to kindness.
