Southampton Elementary School third graders wrote about their dreams for the world as part of a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr., students at Southampton Elementary School learned more about Dr. King and took part in discussions related to kindness.
In celebrating the life of Martin Luther King Jr., the prekindergartners in Sam Post’s class at Southampton Elementary School participated in a discussion about MLK and then created colorful peace signs using a paper plate, tape and watercolors.

Southampton Elementary School Student Council members in conjunction with the Opening Act Community Service Club and SOFO Museum educators volunteered to clean-up Flying Point Beach in Southampton on Jan. 9. Participants collected buckets full of debris and even found a phonograph album.

Santa visited students and staff at Southampton High School, Intermediate School and Elementary School during the week of Dec. 14. Bringing cheer and joy to students and staff, Santa paid a visit to the Southampton School District during the week of Dec. 14. Unlike in years past, however, this year he arrived on a special sleigh constructed by the high school’s building trades students.
The Southampton School District’s Opening Act Club, Early Act Club and Interact Club worked with the Southampton Rotary Club on Dec. 10 to fill decorated holiday boxes with food. The boxes were distributed to local food banks for those in need at Christmas.
