    Members of Southampton High School’s Italian Club are offering community members an opportunity to learn to speak Italian, study Italian culture and feast on Italian cuisine during a series of classes to be held throughout the school year.

    Three Southampton High School students have earned national recognition through the College Board National Recognition Program, which colleges use to identify academically competitive, underrepresented students.  Brandon Perez and Sophia Oliveira each earned a National Hispanic Recognition Award and Yassine Boukaissi earned a National African American Recognition Award.

    Southampton Union Free School District has appointed Irene Navas as assistant principal at Southampton High School. Ms. Navas most recently served as coordinator of Native American education, student services and liaison for the Center Moriches School District since 2014.

    The New York State Public High School Athletic Association has named Southampton High School a Scholar-Athlete School of Excellence for the 2021-22 school year.
