  • Senior earns National Merit semifinalist title 

    Southampton High School senior Dhivya Sampath has been recognized as a semifinalist in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program as a result of her outstanding scores on the qualifying exam.  Sampath is now among 16,000 students across the nation competing for $28 million in scholarships.

  • Networking at Google headquarters

    Participants in the WVI Dolphin Foundation’s Leadership and Life Skills Mentorship Program at Southampton High School had the opportunity to visit Google headquarters in New York City on Sept. 20.

    Members of Southampton High School’s Italian Club are offering community members an opportunity to learn to speak Italian, study Italian culture and feast on Italian cuisine during a series of classes to be held throughout the school year.

  • Southampton Outing Club heads out

    Southampton High School’s Outing Club enjoyed their first outing of the school year at Cooper’s Beach on the evening of Sept. 27.  Club members surged with boards, body surfed, swam, and played beach soccer and spikeball. They also had the opportunity to learn to surf and speak with the five lifeguards on duty about the certification process.

    Southampton High School seniors Riley Herrmann and Brandon Perez have been recognized as Commended Students in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program as a result of their outstanding scores on the qualifying exam.

  • Southampton student-musicians earn All-State and All-County designations

    Three Southampton High School students recently received prestigious musical designations. Casey Cartagena, a violinist, and Julian Misut, a violist, have been named to the Suffolk County Music Educators Association’s All-County Orchestra

  • Southampton students earn national honors

    Three Southampton High School students have earned national recognition through the College Board National Recognition Program, which colleges use to identify academically competitive, underrepresented students.  Brandon Perez and Sophia Oliveira each earned a National Hispanic Recognition Award and Yassine Boukaissi earned a National African American Recognition Award.
