Grade 4 - New York Native Peoples

  • 4th Grade students complete a research project about the Indian people of New York State.
    Students explore several topics independently and collaboratively.  


    Encore Activities:
    Art - students examine the Great Seal of the Shinnecock Nation.
    Technology Lab - students will create digital wampum belts.
    Library - students will use various print and digital resources as part of their research. 
    Students will also examine Native artifacts and create educational dioramas and multimedia presentations.
