    Southampton students complete mentorship program 

    Five Southampton High School students have earned a certificate of completion from the Leadership and Life Skills Mentorship Program sponsored by the WVI Dolphin Foundation. To earn the certificate, Yassine Boukaissi, Aydan Eleazer, Paige Garvin, Celia Ginsberg and Andrew Souhrada spent the past year attending workshops, completing modules and meeting with their mentors.

    In recognition of National Hispanic Heritage Month, the students in Sarah Trujillo Underhill’s AP Spanish Language and Culture class at Southampton High School investigated and showcased the cultural heritage of their school’s Spanish-speaking staff.

    Southampton Senior earns citizenship award

    Emma Cervone, a senior at Southampton High School, was recently presented with the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award. Cervone earned the award by possessing the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism in her home, school and community.

    In celebrating Native American History Month, Southampton Elementary School prekindergartners in Jennifer Morgan’s class spent time with artist and educator Denise Silva-Dennis of the Shinnecock Nation. Silva-Dennis read “We Are Water Protectors”
