    Dear Parents and Guardians:

Southampton Elementary School is pleased to be providing a bully prevention initiative that is a year long, progressive workshop for parents on a monthly basis. This program is entitled Dignity at School, Dignity At Home; Empowering Parents to Prevent Bullying. As parent of our Parenting Programs we provide to our families at S.E.S., we have been given the opportunity to collaborate with Cornell Cooperative Extension, thanks to a bully prevention grant they have received. The workshops are intended to build off of one another to provide parents with the tools to assist their child with not being a victim or an aggressor. The following workshops will be provided free of charge to our parents and guardians:

Tuesday, October 2, 5-7 p.m.  Building Family Strengths
    Thursday, October 11, 5-7 p.m. Understanding Your Child's Temperament
    Monday, October 29, 5-7 p.m. Follow-up open discussion
Monday, November 5, 5-7 p.m. Parenting Style Makes a Difference
Thursday, November 15, 5-7 p.m. How to Talk with Your Child about Almost Anything
    Tuesday, December 4, 5-7 p.m.  Follow-up open discussion

There will be additional monthly workshops starting January 2013 that will continue till May. If you should have any questions regarding our program, please don’t hesitate to give me a call at 591-4805.

    Sincerely,

    Gwendolen Arnzen, M.S., L. M.H.C.                                      Rebecca Raymond
