  • Boxing Thanksgiving

    Southampton Elementary School’s Opening Act Club, Southampton Intermediate School’s Early Act Club and Southampton High School’s Interact Club worked with the Southampton Rotary Club during the week of Nov. 23 to fill hundreds of boxes with food. The boxes were distributed to local food banks for those in need for Thanksgiving.

  • Student earns service award

    Southampton High School student Reece Nugent was awarded the Long Island Radio Broadcasting Thomas Cutinella Foundation Service Award. Nugent earned the award for his community service accomplishments. He and his peers created a scholarship foundation in response to social injustice arising out of the COVID-19 era.

  • 100 Turkeys for Veterans

    The Southampton High School Mariner Patriot Club, under the direction of advisor Thea Fry, delivered 100 turkeys to local veterans just in time for Thanksgiving. The turkeys were donated by the school and local community. “It was a herculean effort, but they got it done,” said Southampton High School Principal Brian Zahn. “We are so proud of their efforts.”

    Southampton Elementary School in-person and virtual second graders participated in a Thanksgiving celebration together on Nov. 24. They sang, shared stories and messages of thanks, and enjoyed a special meal prepared by the school’s kitchen team.
