Southampton appoints elementary principal
The Southampton Union Free School District is pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Nicole Fernandez as its new elementary principal. She replaces Dr. Jaime Botcher, who has been promoted to assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction.

You’re a grand old flag
Southampton Elementary School students celebrated Flag Day on June 14 with several flag-related activities. All students participated in a story book walk that focused on the history of the American flag. The activity was followed by a sing-along in which kindergartners led the entire school in patriotic songs in English and Spanish.
