  • A lesson in government

    Members of the Southampton Elementary School Student Council and their advisers, Annemarie Calogrias and Lisa Carew, recently visited Southampton Village Hall. During the trip, Southampton Village Mayor Jesse Warren facilitated a tour of the various departments and the building. The students learned firsthand about different government jobs from employees who met and spoke with them.

  • Student council raises awareness for autism

    To raise awareness about autism and funds for Camp Flying Point of Water Mill, the Southampton Elementary School Student Council held a teddy bear raffle during the month of April. The students raffled off two giant teddy bears, collecting $200 for the summer camp that provides summer experiences for children with autism.
