  • Researching Roman history locally

    Southampton High School students taking Latin 4 further explored Roman leadership during a recent trip to the Southampton Art Center. The students learned the names of the leaders and emperors on display in the backyard of the art center and plan to research their political backgrounds. They also met with Southampton Mayor Jesse Warren, who discussed what it takes to be a leader of a local town.

  • Exploring mythology and Latin roots

    Southampton High School students in Mitti Abbadessa’s Mythology and Latin Roots class explored "classics around us" during a trip to New York City on May 14. They participated in a scavenger hunt at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where they searched for sculptures, frescoes and other features shown in the “Percy Jackson” movie

  • 2022 SHS Junior/Senior Prom Information and Registration

    Southampton High School will be hosting the Junior/Senior Prom on Thursday, June 16th at 6:30 PM. This year, the Junior/Senior Prom will be fully catered and held at the Parrish Art Museum. The check-in and welcome will commence at 6:00 PM in the rear parking area of the Parrish.

  • Southampton holds Wall of Distinction induction

    The Southampton Union Free School District officially inducted Mark Johnson and Elton Etheridge into its 2022 Wall of Distinction during a ceremony on April 29. Johnson graduated from Southampton High School in 1986 and helped create the SHS Wall of Fame that year as co-chair of the student council.
