    Southampton students create Shinnecock Living History exhibit 

    As part of the project, the Shinnecock students worked with Shinnecock elders and used research resources and personal experiences to write descriptions for Phoenix Wise’s photographs, which depict images of students, alumni, tribal members and trustees at the Shinnecock and Pequot pow wows.

    Southampton student-artists’ work showcased

    The Southampton School District congratulates Southampton High School juniors Ava Dobrowolski and Lili Telvi and senior Thea Morse on having their artwork showcased at the recent New York State School Boards Association conference in Buffalo. The students’ pieces were selected as part of a representation of 10 regions from around the state.

This month we honor the Shinnecock Nation and hundreds of Tribal Nations who continue exercising their inherent sovereignty.
