  • Southampton students earn national honors

    Three Southampton High School students have earned national recognition through the College Board National Recognition Program, which colleges use to identify academically competitive, underrepresented students.  Brandon Perez and Sophia Oliveira each earned a National Hispanic Recognition Award and Yassine Boukaissi earned a National African American Recognition Award.

  • Mariners show school spirit

    Southampton High School was full of school spirit during the week of Sept. 19 as the Mariners celebrated homecoming week. The week was marked by various theme days and events, including an annual dance, movie night, bonfire and pep rally.

  • Exploring art

    Members of Southampton High School’s Parrish Collaborative Club, advised by Pamela Collins, visited the Parrish Art Museum on Sept. 21. They had the opportunity to meet with visiting artist/artist-in-residence Coby Kennedy and learn more about his work as part of the For Freedoms exhibit currently on display at the museum.

  • Southampton counselor to be inducted into College Hall of Athletic Honor

    Southampton High School counselor Jessica Zay is set to be inducted into the Gettysburg College Hall of Athletic Honor on Oct. 14.  Zay earned the honor for her accomplishments as a lacrosse player at Gettysburg College from 1997-2001. During that time, she was

  • Arrive on Time

    We are seeing a significant number of our students arriving late to school in the morning. We would like to reinforce that all students must be present in their classroom before the 7:25 AM start of 1st period. We have noticed that the latenesses are mostly from students who are dropped off each morning.

  • Picture Day

    Southampton High School will be hosting Lifetouch Picture Day on Thursday, September 22nd and Friday, September 23rd. Students will have pictures taken during their scheduled physical education class times

  •  College Workshop & College Admission Representative Visits

    Southampton High School is hosting a College Fair for students during the school day on Wednesday, September 28th, during 4th & 5th periods.  Please see attached flier for a list of colleges attending our College Fair and a suggested list of questions and topics for students to discuss with representatives.

  • School supply donation

    Southampton Elementary School recently accepted a donation of school supplies from Hamptons Community Outreach. The donation, which was facilitated by third grade co-teachers Stefany Gomez and Jessica Gomez-Barrientos, will be provided to students in need.

  • Top Boys Soccer Player 

    Southampton High School senior Andy Panza has been named to Newsday’s top 100 Long Island boys soccer players list. Panza, a three-year starter, was recognized as the Mariners’ formidable last line of defense and for posting eight shutouts as the team finished as co-champions in Suffolk VII. The district extends its congratulations to Andy on this achievement.

  • Anchor Academy kicks off at Southampton Elementary School

    Southampton Elementary School inaugurated a new character education program, Anchor Academy, at a kickoff assembly on Sept. 9. The program, which was presented to students by Principal Dr. Nicole Fernandez and Assistant Principal Danielle McCoy, includes themed monthly assemblies and a rewards system.

  • Outdoor math

    Southampton Elementary School students now have the opportunity to participate in a new outdoor math game. During recess, they can play Math Moggle, an interactive game that features numbers and a dry erase board and marker.
