Southampton Intermediate School spelling bee is back
After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual Southampton Intermediate School Spelling Bee was back on in January.
Students in grades 5-8 competed individually in their classrooms, with the top-scoring students moving into a second, schoolwide competition. Taking first place was fifth grader Brooklyn DeVito, who will now move on to the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
The Southampton School District congratulates all the top spellers on a job well done!
