In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Southampton High School mural painting/set design students worked collaboratively to paint two mosaic-style portraits of Dr. King. They each painted 12-inch-square canvases that were combined to form a finished 4-foot-square portrait. One of the portraits will be displayed at Southampton High School, while the other will be featured in the Parrish Art Museum’s 2022 Student Exhibitions in the spring. The initiative is part of the East End Arts & Humanities Council’s 2022 East End Arts MLK Portrait Project, which included 11 East End schools.
