Southampton counselor to be inducted into College Hall of Athletic Honor

Southampton High School counselor Jessica Zay is set to be inducted into the Gettysburg College Hall of Athletic Honor on Oct. 14. 

Zay earned the honor for her accomplishments as a lacrosse player at Gettysburg College from 1997-2001. During that time, she was a four-year starter, and in her junior year, she was named Second Team All-American and First Team All-Conference. As a senior, she became the became the program’s first Centennial Conference Player of the Year. She finished with a career-high 32 points to go along with 59 ground balls, 24 draw controls and 15 caused turnovers. She made the All-American squad for the second year in a row and was named ECAC Player of the Year and All-Metro Region First Team. She finished her career with 86 points, 175 ground balls, 112 draw controls and 78 caused turnovers in 69 games.
