Southampton students tour Cornell University

Southampton High School and Intermediate School students from the Shinnecock Nation recently had the opportunity to visit Cornell University. Cornell’s American Indian and Indigenous Studies Program invited the students to attend its Promising Futures outreach and recruitment program, which aims to encourage prospective Indigenous undergraduate students to consider applying to Cornell. Students experienced a campus tour, a common app, an essay workshop, an Indigenous student panel, and a faculty networking dinner.
