Message from the Superintendent/Mensaje del Superintendente
Dear Southampton School Community,
Last evening, Mr. Justin Cobis, principal of Southampton Intermediate School, was appointed superintendent/principal of Oysterponds Union Free School District, effective July 1, 2023. Mr. Cobis will remain with our district through June 30, 2023 and is committed to fulfilling his duties as principal to our students, staff and community. We thank him for his years of service at the Intermediate School and wish him all the best in his new position.
The board of education and administration will conduct a thorough search for his replacement. We understand the middle years of a child’s academic career are critical to their success in high school and beyond. We will work to ensure that the next leader of the Intermediate School continues to align with our district’s mission and vision.

Estimada comunidad escolar de Southampton,
Anoche, el Sr. Justin Cobis, director de la Escuela Intermedia de Southampton, fue nombrado superintendente/director del Distrito Escolar de Oysterponds, a partir del 1 de julio de 2023. El Sr. Cobis permanecerá en nuestro distrito hasta el 30 de junio de 2023 y está comprometido a cumplir sus deberes como director para nuestros estudiantes, el personal y la comunidad.
