DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS Under general supervision, an employee in this class performs elementary cooking and routine food preparation in a kitchen serving a large number of persons. Requirements: NYS Department of Education Fingerprint Clearance and completion of ten (10) school grades, and one (1) year of experience in the preparation of food on a large scale and must have
Food manager certification or similar certification ( Serv Safe) to reflect knowledge to manage food safety in a food service environment.
