Dear Southampton Families, Students, Staff, and Esteemed Board Members, 

As Thanksgiving approaches, I find myself reflecting on how quickly time has passed, already a year and a half in my role as Superintendent! It feels both like yesterday and a lifetime of memories, and I am deeply grateful for the journey we have shared together. In such a short time, I have witnessed incredible accomplishments, unwavering dedication, and countless moments that remind me just how special our Southampton Union Free School District community truly is. 

To our extraordinary staff and educators: your passion, creativity, and tireless commitment to our students’ success never cease to inspire me. Whether in the classroom, on the fields, or behind the scenes, you go above and beyond every day to ensure our students thrive. I see the impact of your work in the curiosity, resilience, and growth of our students, and I am so thankful for everything you do. 

To our remarkable students: you continue to amaze and inspire. Your achievements, kindness, curiosity, and willingness to lift one another up make our community shine. Watching you grow into thoughtful, capable leaders has been one of the greatest joys of my tenure thus far. 

To our families: thank you for your ongoing partnership. Your support at home and in the community strengthens everything we do and ensures that every child has the opportunity to succeed. We are grateful for your trust and collaboration. 

As we gather with friends and loved ones this season, let us celebrate the many blessings we share: our dedicated educators, committed support staff, talented students, supportive families, and the vibrant spirit of our community. May this Thanksgiving bring you joy, warmth, and a sense of comfort as we continue our work together to “Set, Sail, Soar!”
