SES & SIS Core Literacy Program Update

Dear Families, 

We’re excited to share that our school will be piloting a new literacy curriculum designed to help students grow as readers, writers, and thinkers. 

Starting February 2nd, students in Kindergarten through 6th Grade will try Magnetic Literacy by i-Ready through the end of this school year. A pilot is a chance for teachers and students to test drive new materials and share feedback to see if they’re a good fit for our school. 

With Magnetic Literacy, students will read engaging texts, build vocabulary, and write about meaningful topics. Grounded in the Science of Reading, the program supports every learner and helps all students become confident, capable readers. 

Please join us for a Parent University information session on January 22, 2026 at 6:00 PM in the Southampton Elementary School Cafeteria. There, parents and guardians will learn about the new reading program and its alignment to the Science of Reading.
