Position Title: Southampton High School Summer Credit Recovery Courses Program 2026

Location: Southampton Intermediate School 

Position Dates: July 6, 2026 - August 7, 2026, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Salary/Pay Scale:

• Teachers $109.36 /hour; NTE 27.5 hours each
• Teacher Assistants $51.45 per hour; NTE 60 hours each 

Description: The program will consist of credit recovery courses. Each class will run for 1 week, Monday through Friday consecutively, from 8am – 1pm any week between July 6, 2026– August 7, 2026. Each course will have one section with a maximum enrollment of 30 students. Teacher candidates will develop the assigned week of scheduled classes with the principal upon appointment to the position.

Corresponding Regents Exams take place Tuesday, August 18, 2026 and Wednesday, August 19, 2026. All summer school teachers are asked to apply for and participate in Regents Exam administration.

Qualifications: All applicants must hold a valid NYS certification in the area of assignment

• 3 Social Studies 7-12 Teachers for Global Studies 1, Global Studies 2 and US History
• 2 Mathematics 7-12 Teachers for Algebra 1 and Geometry
• 2 English Teachers for English 9/10 and English 11/12
• 2 Science Teachers for Life Science Biology and Earth & Space Science
• ENL Teacher Assistant
• Special Education Teacher Assistant
