Location: Southampton Union Free School District – Southampton, NY
Salary: $95,000 - 120,000 (commensurate with experience)
Position Type: Full-Time | 12-Month
Description: The Southampton UFSD is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a School Transportation Supervisor. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the district’s transportation operations, including routing, scheduling, vehicle maintenance, staff supervision, compliance with safety regulations, preparation of required reports, and oversight of transportation personnel and outside vendors.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must meet Suffolk County Civil Service requirements. Typical qualifications include:
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s Degree and two (2) years of management experience in the operation, scheduling, and maintenance of a bus transportation system; or

Graduation from a standard senior high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and four (4) years of management experience in the operation, scheduling, and maintenance of a bus transportation system.

Must possess a valid NYS CDL with appropriate Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
Note: Additional experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.

Supervisory experience is strongly preferred

Experience in a school district or public sector environment is preferred
This is a provisional civil service appointment, as there is currently no established eligible list. The selected candidate will be required to meet civil service requirements and participate in a future examination, if applicable.
