Position: Special Education Teacher

Location: Southampton High School 

Position Start : August 24, 2026

Salary: As per STA Contract

Description: The Southampton School District seeks a Special Education Teacher for our High School.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide instruction in accordance with individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.

• Provide instruction and support to students with developmental disabilities in a classroom setting.

• Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to foster a supportive learning environment.

• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies as necessary.

• Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behavior.

• Utilize communication skills to engage with students and their families effectively.

Requirements:  Applicants MUST hold a valid NYS Special Education certification 7-12 or All Grades, Dual Certification in a content area recommended
