Position: Leave Replacement ELA Teacher

Location: Southampton High School 

Position Dates : August 24, 2026 - February 5, 2027

Salary: As per STA Contract

Description: The Southampton Union Free School District is seeking a Leave Replacement English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher at the high school level. The successful candidate will provide instruction in high school English courses, support student growth in reading, writing, listening, speaking, and critical thinking.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Plan and deliver engaging ELA instruction aligned with New York State standards

• Support student development in reading, writing, and analysis

• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment

• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school activities

Requirements:  Applicants MUST hold a valid NYS ELA 7-12 Certification
