Position: General Education Teacher (Bilingual Preferred)

Location: Southampton Elementary School

Description: We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered General Education Teacher to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality instruction, foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and support the academic and social-emotional growth of all students. Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred, particularly Spanish-speaking educators. 

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction

• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records

• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

• Collaborate with instructional teams and support staff to promote student success

• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching practices into classroom instruction

• Support student engagement, critical thinking, and academic achievement

• Participate in professional development, school initiatives, and faculty meetings

• Teach assigned content areas

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education 

• Valid state teaching certification required

• General Education certification required

• Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) preferred

• Bilingual certification preferred; candidates willing to obtain certification are encouraged to apply

• Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills

• Commitment to equity, collaboration, and student-centered learning

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with multilingual learners

• Experience teaching in bilingual or culturally diverse settings

• Ability to teach content instruction in Spanish preferred
