| Job Description
ENL/Bilingual Department Liaisons are required to assist in the coordination of programming for their respective building, supporting the ENL/Bilingual department with all communications on curriculum and WIDA. Liaison must assist in the coordination of department meetings and turnkeys with the newly implemented WIDA Testing, ELL screening, NYSITELL scheduling and administering as well as, ENL High-Quality Orientation parent meetings.
This position is up for renewal at the end of the school year. In order to accommodate the responsibilities below, the ENL/Bilingual Liaison will have flexibility with duty, prep, lunch, and professional period.
Responsible for:

Meet biweekly with the Director of Multilingual and or as needed for check ins
-
Supporting the administration of the WIDA Assessment, under the direction of the Director of Multilingual Education.

Coordinate and/or administer NYSITELL Exams as new students enter throughout the school year
-
Scan NYSITELL answer sheets to BOCES
-
Retrieve results and notify guidance, Building Administrators and Director
-
Update master ELL spreadsheet
-
Print results of NYSITELL and add to purple folders for the new ELL student
-
Coordinate and administer the WIDA Assessment with the guidance of the Director of Multilingual.

Assist the Director with finalizing the list of ELLs to be tested
-
Build testing schedule and reserve rooms for each teachers during the testing window
-
Distribute and collect testing materials during testing days
-
Assist Director with sorting student answer sheets into testing groups for each day of testing
-
Assist Director with Pack folders with rosters, passes, do not disturb signs, accommodations, answer sheets and student booklets if needed.

Distribute and collect testing materials during all WIDA testing modalities and make up days
-
Communicate student attendance with classroom teacher and building administrators
-
Work with TAs to transcribe speaking scores onto Session 3 answer sheets

Assist director to close out exam and package all testing materials
Reports to: Director of Multilingual and Culturally Responsive Education (in consultation with building Administration)

Technology/Proficient in:
General Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Tenured ENL or Bilingual Certified Teacher

Ability to communicate effectively to achieve assigned duties

Proficient in the use of technology in student instruction

Knowledge of CR Part 154-2 regulations
-
Knowledge of ENL/Bilingual Units of Study

Knowledge of ELL Blueprint
