| Job Description
ISA/Seal of Biliteracy Liaison will serve as the representative for ISA and the Seal of Biliteracy and assist in the coordination of programming for the ISA program and the Seal of Biliteracy. This position is up for renewal at the end of the school year. In order to accommodate the responsibilities below, the ISA/Seal of Biliteracy Liaison will have flexibility with duty, prep, lunch, and professional period.
Reports to: Director of ENL, Dual Language, WL and DEI (in consultation with SHS building principal)
Responsible for:

Assisting in disseminating ISA and Seal of Biliteracy information with teachers as necessary

Coordinating with appropriate personnel and administrators for acquisition of resources for the ISA program and the Seal of Biliteracy
-
Assisting in verifying student courses and grades to confirm their continuation in the ISA program
-
Assisting in promoting workshops for professional development and DELE certification
-
Assisting in identifying the number of students that will be taking the DELE exam
-
Assisting with the scheduling and administration of the DELE exams
-
Assisting in organizing the ISA graduation
-
Assisting in promoting the Seal of Biliteracy to students, parents, faculty, and community
-
Assisting in identifying students who meet the requirements and are potential candidates for the Seal of Biliteracy
-
Organizing and facilitating the Seal of Biliteracy panel
-
Assist with the coordination of the ISA Spanish Language Assistant Program
-
Communicating with Administration on all matters of concern
-
Collaborating with administration to support a culturally responsive approach to teaching and learning by using the Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education Framework

Attending building leadership meetings as scheduled by administration
-
Attending relevant district meetings upon request

Providing monthly updates to the Director of ENL, Dual Language,WL and DEI

General Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Tenured Certified LOTE Teacher
-
Ability to communicate effectively to achieve assigned duties

Knowledge of ISA Program
-
Knowledge of the Seal of Biliteracy
