Position Start Date: August 24, 2026 (2026 - 2027 School Year)

Position Type: Full – Time

Position Location: Southampton Elementary School – SES

Salary: $71,078 (Step 1) - $78,971 (Step 4) (Salary per STA Contract)

Responsibilities include:

• Provide basic health care and first aid to students that are ill, medically fragile and/or injured 

• Provide treatment, document injuries and maintain medical records 

• Provide ongoing communication with parents regarding injuries, medications, immunizations, allergies, etc. 

• Administer daily medications 

• Maintain up-to-date records on all students (i.e., physicals and immunizations) 

• Follow NYS guidelines for immunization compliance 

• Follow NYS Guidelines for vision, hearing, scoliosis screenings and physicals 

• Gathers data and reports findings on NYS immunization and BMI surveys 

• Respond to all medical emergencies within the building 

• Participate in 504 meetings 

Requirements:

• NYS Licensed Registered Nurse

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

• Valid/Current AED/CPR Certification

• One Year medical/surgical experience or school nursing experience
