Southampton Schools Food Service Department is seeking a dependable, energetic and customer-focused Food Service Worker. Position Start: 2026-2027 School Year Hours: 3.0 hours/day Location: Elementary School and Intermediate School (split between schools) Salary/Pay Scale: $24 per hour Qualifications: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds. Prior food service experience preferred. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is desirable. Good working knowledge of the application of sanitation practices in the preparation of food and the ability to work as part of a team to prepare meals.
Job Qualifications NYS Department of Education Fingerprinting Clearance Candidates employed in a school must attend ongoing continuing education/training as required by the Food and Nutrition Service of the United States Department.of Agriculture.
