Southampton names new director of child nutrition and food services
The Southampton School District Board of Education has appointed Marie St. Hubert as the new director of child nutrition and food services.
“We are pleased to welcome Marie St. Hubert to the district as our new director of child nutrition and food services. Providing students with nutritious, appealing meals is an important part of supporting their health, well-being and readiness to learn,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Fatima Morrell. “We look forward to her leadership and expertise as we continue to provide high-quality food services to our students each day.”
St. Hubert, of Medford, joins the Southampton School District from the New York City Public School System, where she served in the Office of Food and Nutrition Services since 2023 as a menu management senior menu specialist. She previously served in the office as a food service manager. She began her career at Caledonian Hospital as a WIC nutritionist.
St. Hubert holds a bachelor’s degree in food nutrition from SUNY Plattsburgh and an associate’s in liberal arts from Kingsborough Community College. She also holds a NYC food safety certificate.
“As director of child nutrition and food services, my goal is to nourish more than just the body. I strive to create a program where every child has access to nutritious, quality meals, every employee feels valued and empowered, and every meal served is an opportunity to support student success,” said St. Hubert. “Through leadership, innovation and a commitment to excellence, I hope to build a food service program that strengthens our schools and positively impacts the lives of the children we serve.”
